Before a mobility period can begin, a great deal of planning and preparation is required. This can get easier over time, especially once there is a functioning partnership guided by a Memorandum of Understanding.
For sending or receiving organisations that are new to mobility, or for newly-established partnerships, core steps are separately addressed in this section of the ECVET Mobility Toolkit, with sub-texts that centre on:
preparing a Memorandum of Understanding.
identifying units of learning outcomes.
agreeing on how to document learners' achievements.
clarifying validation and recognition.
signing a learning agreement.
In this video, Susanna Vestling of Yrkesakademin i Österbotten (Finland), describes the required steps and documents confirming how these are carried out for a typical ECVET mobility period in Finland.
